Reservation policies apply from 20th November to 20th January

We charge a holding deposit of £10pp on all bookings at Christmas. During Christmas, a deposit of £10pp is held on a card. This is charged if a guest fails to show up on the day. In this period a minimum of 7 days notice must be given to amend numbers and deposits will be claimed regardless of the situation including illness, Covid etc. To amend a booking you must reply to your confirmation email, this cannot be done over the phone It is the responsibility of the person booking to make sure your party is aware of this.

Prams are not permitted in the lodge or the pub during Christmas due to space. A carry chair is allowed. It is the responsibility of the person booking to make sure your party is aware of this.

Children are welcome inside the pub and lodge until 7pm

Dogs are welcome most of the time, however during the Christmas period dogs are not permitted when booking a table for dining due to space restrictions. Adding a request to your booking will still not suffice, please do not bring your dog when making a booking at Christmas. It is the responsibility of the person booking to make sure your party is aware of this.

It takes a team of our own staff over 500 man hours, 14,000 baubles and 1000s of fairy lights, not to mention a lion, a witch and a wardrobe

We do have a reduced menu available Wednesday – Saturday but this is for walk-ins only. On a Sunday we do serve our Sunday lunches in the Lodge.

We do have a car park that holds 20 cars but where possible please try to use a taxi or public transport. Cars must not be left overnight. Do not park on kerbs or block driveways.

No, after 2 armed robberies we don’t take cash.

To guarantee a dining table you should book at Christmas, it is rare to have space for walk ins. For drinks, simply turn up-we have plenty of space plus the Lodge.

No, our kitchen team needs time off too. On Mondays & Tuesdays the bar is open 3-10pm

Christmas Eve the bar is open 12-11pm and we will be serving a Christmas feast from our new catering trailer in the garden. All tables are first come first served.
Christmas Day we are open for drinks only 12-2pm
